Texprocess Blinks To Success

Scheduled to be realized for the first time by Messe Frankfurt, it is expected that texprocess will be an excellent venue for the meeting of over 500 companies and 25,000 visitors. The top event for the garment-manufacturing and textile-processing industry will make its debut in Frankfurt am Main from 24 to 27 May 2011.

Leading international manufacturers will present their latest machines, plant, processing, IT systems and services for making up textiles and other flexible materials.

Numerous international market and technology leaders have already registered for the leading trade fair for processing textiles and other flexible materials. The organisers, Messe Frankfurt, are expecting around 500 exhibitors and 25,000 trade visitors on some 50,000 square metres of exhibition space. Texprocess will be held concurrently with Techtextil, International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens.

The Texprocess Advisory Board has been reinforced. On the exhibitor side, it has been enriched by Heiner Rupperath of Brother Internationale Industriemaschinen and Andreas Korz of Pfaff Industriesysteme und Maschinen. On the visitor side, the apparel industry is now represented not only by Adidas, Hugo Boss, Mango and Windsor but also by Marc Cain. The interests of processors of technical textiles are in the hands of Dr. Friedrich Rau of Car Trim, so the composition of the Board also takes due account of the growing importance of textiles in technical applications. Altogether, 27 international representatives of industry, associations and institutes advise and support Messe Frankfurt in the development of the Texprocess concept.

The range of products to be shown at Texprocess covers the entire value chain from pattern design and cutting, via processing technology, to textile processing, finishing, IT and textile logistics. The new fair will be accompanied by an extensive complementary programme including ‘Network@Texprocess’, the IT market place that gives software producers an inexpensive opportunity to present their products, and the ‘Source it!’ sourcing platform that brings together production companies and fashion labels from all over the world. In addition, there will be an awards ceremony for the Texprocess Innovation Award and a special programme to promote the interests of young people.
