The main reason for its pride is the company’s ability to be consistently proactive, thanks to its continuous commitment to research and quality. Such commitment has allowed them to contribute significantly to the technological development of an important branch of plastics, whose diffusion represents one of the great revolutions of the last century.

That same commitment sees RESINFLEX, now more than ever, engaged in a great challenge while fully upholding the traditions of professionalism, efficiency and rigorous controls, maintaining a spirit of collaboration in all commercial and productive sectors and constantly updating its production systems.

In the early '50s by the architect Carlo Mollino has used "Resinflex" for chairs and sofas designed by him (including the chair designed by Gio Ponti and Lisa).
The same Gio Ponti often used Resinflex in the chairs for Cassina and for the wall and as upholstery for the hotel room at the IX Triennial exhibition in Milan. Wall Coverings for Clinics and Hospitals

Large surfaces and the necessity for absolute hygiene and safety are the requirements that characterize this particular market. The company’s coverings for clinics and hospitals distinguish themselves in a sector that demands the highest quality standards in conformance with strict and complex regulations.

RESINFLEX can boast extensive experience in this area too, where its primary objective is functionality, without forgetting, however, that aesthetics constitute an important element in establishing a pleasant and relaxed relationship between hospital structures and their users.

RESINFLEX coverings for clinics and hospitals are at the forefront of modern technology particularly with regard to their fireproof and antibacterial properties, which conform to international hygiene regulations. Our coverings guarantee excellent value for money, especially considering their high level of performance and ease of application, replacement and maintenance.

APHONFLEX

APHONFLEX is a vinyl fireproof self-extinguishing wall covering on a non-woven fabric support in cellulose and polyester that ensures an excellent balance between the absorption and reflection of sound waves.

It therefore satisfies the soundproofing requirements of hotels, hospitals, schools, offices and homes, and it is particularly suitable for theatres, auditoriums, congress halls and cinemas thanks to its sound reflection capacity which eliminates or minimizes echo.

DECORFLEX

DECORFLEX is based on a paper support which makes it particularly versatile, capable of combining all the qualities of vinyl coverings with those of conventional wallpapers. The product is ideal for all those environments where one does not want to forego the warmth and vivacity of fabric while maintaining the practicality and functionality that distinguishes all RESINFLEX products.

RESIMUR – AQUARELLE - VINILICO “R”

Wall-paper is certainly one of the most common coverings used for interior decoration, but they require very high technological and qualitative standards to guarantee that they are long-lasting, wear, tear and abrasion resistant, washable and above all, easy to apply.

These are the factors that have been studied long and hard in the RESINFLEX research and experimentation laboratories in order to develop its special wallpapers, RESIMUR-AQUARELLE and “VINILICO ‘R’”.

Produced in a wide range of colors at a very competitive price, they are vinyl coverings on a paper support, offering the highest possible performance levels on both a functional and aesthetic level.

MURALFLEX

An extensive portfolio of technologies and continuous research and development have led to the creation of MURALFLEX, the vinyl-fabric wall covering that has increased the performance levels of interior wall coverings.

MURALFLEX combines the warmth and pleasantness of fabric with the exceptional resistance, duration, hygiene and safety which are typical of vinyl products.

The range of colors and wefts available ensures the widest possible aesthetic choice whilst utilizing a vinyl fabric that satisfies all the functional requirements of residential buildings, hotels, clinics and offices.

PARETEX

Like Muralflex, this large surface covering is distinguished by its robust and versatile qualities, together with a competitive price compared to other wall treatments.

It’s compatibility with the use of any type of cleaning product, resistance to tears and abrasions, dimensional stability, color duration and its ease of application and maintenance are just some of the characteristics that put PARATEX ahead of the field, along with its ability to conform to even the strictest fire safety regulations.

SETTECENTO

When the need to personalize one’s surroundings is utmost, it is possible to enhance the walls of any environment with SETTECENTO, an ideal product which can meet the strictest of creative requirements as well as satisfying practical and functional needs.

Like all the other products in the company’s range, SETTECENTO also guarantees longevity, resistance, safety and hygiene without foregoing elegance and freedom of choice from a vast range of colors and wefts.

Its application is particularly appropriate when specific attention to the atmosphere of the premises in question is required, such as five-star hotels, professional offices and studios, congress halls, directors’ offices and prestigious residences.

Meeting places and market places par excellence, not all hotels manage to fit the mould of their surroundings perfectly and at the same time offer their guests that genuine home from home feeling. But the Sofitel Bellecour Hotel in Lyon scores full marks for both, thanks in no small part to Patrick Norguet, the brain behind the renovation of the hotel and whose ‘slow’ approach to design translates into interiors with a convivial and narrative feel.

THE PROJECT

This recent renovation, the work of French designer Patrick Norguet, has succeeded in bringing to the fore the prestigious character of a hotel that is a landmark in Lyon.  The new sleek, yet welcoming and convivial interior is the product of the perfect complementary mix of traditional craft techniques and the designer’s eclectic choice of the very finest of materials. Built in the 70s and the backdrop to summits and top-level meetings in the past, its delightfully harmonious contrasts, the unexpected authenticity of its contemporary interior and the familiar modernity of its scale are what give this hotel a whole new appeal.
The designer’s ‘slow’ approach to restyling the hotel’s interior is behind this unique feel, giving it that timeless quality that will stand the test of time. For ‘slow design’ is not simply a passing trend, but a whole new concept, an alternative approach to design.  It represents a completely new lifestyle with optimum use of available resources and a life led in harmony with the surrounding environment. Based on the coming together of three concepts, slow design is sensory, systematic and sustainable
The design of the common areas of the hotel – the lobby, the Le Melhor bar, the Silk
brasserie, the Les Trois Dômes gourmet restaurant, the gym, the spa and the adjoining garden with its bar – is the result of an extremely detailed contextual analysis by the designer. The aim: to give the hotel a true sense of identity and to avoid the merely decorative. Mission accomplished, with the integration of both local and global features the designer placed centre stage, and global features the designer placed centre stage, and his communication of specific sensory experiences.
Patrick Norguet delved ever deeper into Lyon’s wealthy past as nerve centre of the French textile industry, and of the silk industry in particular. Wishing to pay homage to an evocative national cultural heritage, Norguet joined forces with Tassinari et Chatel, one of the city’s oldest and the last remaining textile merchants. Together they performed the painstaking task of trawling through historical records, reproducing each and every motif in existence over the years. The result is a patchwork of embroidery and prints that decorates the walls of the lobby, in perfect contrast with the contemporary décor. The designer called on the services of artist Gille Cenazandotti for this part of the project.
The sustainable and convivial sensory aspects of Norguet’s new interiors also feature harmonious contrasts in the décor, such as the coffee and silvery colours in the Trois Dôme restaurant and the red and black in the Le Melhor bar, the whole theme punctuated by understated yet original furnishings with attitude.
The convivial, narrative style of the design whisks us back, quite effortlessly, to the bosom of the family, a nurturing cocoon where stories play out, relationships forged, where there is room for meetings and exchanges, developing as if by magic, new cyclical patterns.

MATERIALS

In planning the facelift for the Sofitel Bellecour Hotel, designer Patrick Norguet selected the very finest of materials, produced with sophisticated techniques and designed to last over time. One example is the earthy tones of the porcelain stoneware from the Masterplan series by Lea Ceramiche. Covering the whole of the ground floor and the spa, these tone in perfectly with the warm shades in the carpets designed by Norguet for Catalan company Nanimarquina.
The designer used an extensive range of materials: from rolled sections in real hammered blackwood from French company Oberflex, to the colored glass, the chrome-plated stainless steel panels and the bronze colored ‘métro’ style mosaic tiles (with a diamond relief) chosen for the walls behind the reception desk (itself in colored glass in a striking shade of yellow). The contrast produced by the juxtaposition of these materials makes an atmosphere with a distinctly welcoming, eclectic and stimulating feel.Hotel Interior Design

But back to what is the real common thread running through the interior design of the hotel: the Masterplan tiles by Lea Ceramiche, covering the entire floor surface. It was the desire to manage a harmonious effect across the whole of the floor area that led to this choice - explains Norguet - to give a real ‘mineral feel’ for the guests. The large format accentuates the sense of space and is easy on the eye. The choice of warm tones and clean lines means the floor becomes the common denominator for the whole hotel: with character but not overbearing, and in perfect harmony with the contrasts in the surrounding interior.

Norguet also settled on Lea Ceramiche tiles for the massage cubicles in the spa, where Haute Couture – a stylish tile in polished porcelain stoneware with a skin-like texture – gives a unique, luxurious feel to the walls.
Everything about the Sofitel-Lyon - the combination of materials, the attention to detail in the installation process – comes together to produce a congenial, evocative environment, offering different moods in different areas. It was not mere aesthetics combined with the contemporary yet timeless quality
of Lea Ceramiche that tempted Norguet. Their environmentally-friendly aspect also played a role.  The company, operating out of Italy’s ‘Ceramic Valley’ in Modena and part of the Panaria Group, has for some years now been committed to a policy of sustainability in its manufacturing process.
