The contract textiles include all textile products having certain standards and used in all covered places where mankind live crowdedly. It covers a long list including hosting, eating, entertainment, health, education, transportation and justice institutions and vehicles. The country and the region where the application is made may also necessitate changes of the features and standards as much as the usage area. Ever spreading high technology and increasing raw material variety all make it possible the usage of advanced technology design textile products with reasonable prices.
Turkey is one of the most important suppliers at this regard. Ever increasing qualified product need offers new opportunities for Turkey. However, there is a serious demand for setting regulations and standards and increasing laboratory opportunities in the country. The measures and activities to be done in the framework of adaptation period to EU could be useful to fill this gap. But an advanced study regarding the standardization of products to be used in Turkey over the world average and with the same token, R&D studies for the same purpose may cause Turkey gain a value added and continuous market.

Opportunities and expectations in market movements we may welcome in 2011 could be as follows:
1- In line with Euro 2010 Poland Ukraine Soccer Championship, there will be hundreds of thousands of new bed capacity and renovation projects this year.
2- Market potential of developing countries and restructural works will continue to exist.
3- Crisis-hit Europe and America will stay on the agenda as classical markets for renovation projects.
Still, the sine qua non element of the contract textile market is working in synergy with construction, electronic, furniture and infrastructure sectors. The secret of success is that all related actors from marketing to production, to product and project development and conortium, should be in agreement to develop accurate relations.
