Volume 4/ Jan-Apr 2011
In this new INTERIORS, edition 2012 / 2013, the most influential international themes are shown. The book contains both summer and winter themes. There are six themes featured, all with their corresponding colour cards. For weavers, printers and spinners Milou Ket has developed a special box with colours, meant for the interior, contract and hospitality market, where cotton yarns are dyed after specification. This is a separate product, but they also offer extra skeins on request to go with this book. Besides that, there is a list of the compatible Pantone® cotton colours. Please note that these colours are not the same as the ones mentioned, but are the closest available. In a later stage there will be a cd with a powerpoint presentation to explain all aspects of the book. With a log-in the customer can download the files and a document with text.
Every theme is shown with it's corresponding colour card, plus more than 150 inspiring materials that match the themes in colour and character.
At the end of the book you'll find a list of sources, designers and manufacturers that are featured in this INTERIORS book.
Also this year colour has been the starting point. The first theme shows the “Bare Essentials”, featured with simplicity and a lot of tactility and texture. Old handicraft are revived in natural colours. The second theme”Naive & Romantic” is fresh and ornamental with pastel colours for a somewhat feminine mood, with emphasis on florals. “Living the Authentic” is the third theme, based on ecological and concious living, with strong French and Italian traditions of country life. Bright colours prevail especially for accessories sometimes with an exotic character in the theme “Bright Colorama”. “Ethnic and Botanic” shows warm colours for global influences from different parts of the world, from Afica to the Orient. In thelast theme “Rich & Dark” we see beautiful deep mysterious colours, either for an opulent style or for dark avantgarde minimalism. Yellow in different variations, such as the golden yellow colours, seems to be one of the most important colours.
