SIMTA was born in 1949 in Turin to promote the sale of the fabrics realized by the family factory. In 1959 the first commercial subsidiary was opened in Milan, followed by others in Padua and Rome. Year after year, the company has enriched its trade activity becoming a textile editeur for home interiors. The long family experience, the big variety of quality materials, the preciousness of taste and the efficiency in service granted the strong development of the company.

Main Simta activity is cut length service, keeping on stock all the items and granting a prompt delivery of the goods. It is also organized for roll service and for big projects special productions are planned with the best delivery time.

In the upholstery and decoration sector, Simta offers Jacquards,  Damasks, Lampas, Goblins, Chenille, Solids, Tartan, Stripes, Micro fiber, Eco leather, Velvets and Prints. While, in the curtains and sheers sector, it offers a large selection of classic, modern and contemporary items in different qualities: Solids, Embroidery, Linen, Jacquards, Silk, Burnt-out, Fil coupé, Taffeta and a wide range of Organza.
The contract sector is expanding steadily with updated collections in Trevira CS and Kanecaron, answering to many different solutions for interior decorations.
Collection PRELUDIO
Coordinated plain, striped, tartan and floral jacquard Taffetas.
The perfect matching of colors between all patterns is completed by 20 plain colors.
The 300 width, the water washing and the soft hand touch allow universal uses; upholstery, bedspreads and quilts, removable covers, curtains, cushions, drapery, tablecloth, etc.

COLLECTION SINFONIA
Warp dyed classic Jacquard fabric.
The fabric is produced with warp in one color and two weaves with different colors in nuance. This processing gives more depth and a relief effect to the patterns.
Four coordinated patterns (all over, striped, empire, plain) in 13 different variation of color. Special care has been taken in the selection of colors.
Medium weight, 280 width and possibility to wash in water allow general use as: bedspreads and quilts, fix and removable covers, heavy curtains, cushions, drapery, headboards.

COLLECTION RAPSODIA
The last new fire retardant collection “Rapsodia” takes inspiration from the classical baroque style to enrich the Simta offer with a high taste level collection, composed by several coordinated patterns of refined taste, addressed to elite projects in the contract market.
The variety of combinations gives the possibility to create elegant and refined atmospheres.
The sophisticated interpretation of classic designs is inspired to old precious Italian fabrics of the 16th century included in the Simta historical archives, reproducing a selection of lampas which had been revisited according to the current classical taste and demand.
Special care has been dedicated to the color shade to meet requests of classical ambient.
The variety of colors and the topical structure of the fabrics allow making great combinations also with the fire retardant Simta sheer program.
The soft hand touch, the double width and the medium weight of the items make the collection ideal for universal use for interior decorations.

Simta offers a wide range of fire retardant sheers and curtains, including plains, printed, embroidered crumpled, striped, voile, organza, muslin, taffetas, nets and laces in a large variety of colors.
