Polyteks, a manufacturer of man-made filament yarns, is a long-term partner for Trevira in Turkey. The company was founded in 1986 and is based in Bursa’s Demirtas Industrial Zone.
Processing of yarns starts with chips and POY and proceeds with ecru and colored FDY, textured, air textured, KDK, air-covered and twisted yarns. Annual capacities amount to 20,000 tons. The product portfolio includes a wide range of flat or textured yarns, from standard to micro and multi-filament texturised, intermingled and twisted, ranging from 70 to 3.000 deniers. The company offers also trilobal cross-sectioned, super bright and spun-dyed qualities. Polyteks was the first to start the production of microfibre yarns in Turkey (in 1993). Today, filament titres start with 0.3 deniers.
Polyteks manfactures according to international standards, observed through quality management, close customer communication and commitment to environmental issues.
The cooperation with Trevira started in 2004, when flame retardant yarns for Trevira CS applications – upholstery, curtains, bedding textiles – were added as specialty product to the portfolio.
“When we decided to add flame retardant polyester yarns to our portfolio, we knew the best way to do this would be a cooperation with Trevira”, comments CEO Mustafa Tasdelen. “In the beginning, most of our customers were interested to make Trevira CS fabrics only on demand. Thanks to our customer-oriented approach and our product diversity, however, we managed to convince and support our customers in preparing Trevira CS collections. We strongly believe that together we can establish a good market for Trevira CS fabrics in Turkey.”
