Bezz, the brand for contract fabrics of Gidas, was established in 2000 and supplies
upholstery and drapery fabrics. Headquarter and production facilities with 18 jacquard looms are based in Bursa and a showroom in Istanbul. Divisions for fancy yarns, weaving, finishing and tailoring as well as the cooperation with partners ensure custom-made products according to the requirements of interior designers and furniture manufacturers. The total capacity amounts to 80,000 metres of fabrics per month. The products comply with British standards as well as ISO standards.
Bezz’s focus is on the contract market, especially textiles for the use in hotels, restaurants and yachts. Apart from the domestic market, export is an important basis for the business, with main markets being the United States, Russia and Dubai.
Trevira CS fabrics account for 25% of the sold quantities and can be made in the desired colours.
“Trevira CS yarns provide the desired technical features and satisfy the requirements of our target market, while giving minimum trouble in our production”, explains CEO Yasemin Özerdem. “Flame retardancy is getting a very common feature for textiles in the contract market. Our customers often ask for flame retardant fabrics. Textiles with a flame retardant surface finishing or other non-branded flame retardant materials might be cheaper, but with Trevira CS yarns you have the brand safety, and the assurance that the flame retardancy is permanent.”
